The Brassavola Group works with leading manufacturers across aerospace, automotive, defense, and precision fabrication. We are hiring CNC and manual Machinists of all levels to support production, prototyping, and quality-driven fabrication work.

Position Overview:
As a Machinist, you’ll set up, operate, and maintain machinery including lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC equipment to produce precision components. Entry-level machinists will assist in setups and inspection; experienced professionals may program CNCs, interpret blueprints, and train apprentices.

Entry-Level Machinist / Machinist Apprentice

  • Job Summary: An entry-level machinist is beginning their career and gaining fundamental skills in machining under the guidance of experienced machinists. This role focuses on learning basic machine operation, safety procedures, and blueprint reading.

  • Responsibilities:

    • Operate basic machine tools (e.g., drill press, saws) under supervision.

    • Deburr and clean parts.

    • Learn to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

    • Learn basic machining processes and techniques.

    • Assist in setting up and operating machines.

    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.

    • Basic understanding of mechanical principles.

    • Willingness to learn and follow instructions.

    • Ability to perform basic math calculations.

    • Good manual dexterity and attention to detail. 

Mid-Level Machinist / CNC Machinist

  • Job Summary: A mid-level machinist is proficient in operating a wider range of machines, including CNC machines. They can work independently on various projects with moderate complexity.

  • Responsibilities:

    • Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools (e.g., lathes, mills).

    • Read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.

    • Program CNC machines using G-code or CAM software.

    • Perform in-process inspections and quality checks.

    • Troubleshoot basic machining problems.

    • Perform routine maintenance on machines.

    • May mentor or train entry-level machinists.

  • Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship is a plus.

    • 2-5 years of experience as a machinist.

    • Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machine tools.

    • Knowledge of G-code programming and CAM software.

    • Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.

    • Ability to use precision measuring instruments.

    • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. 

Senior-Level Machinist / Lead Machinist

  • Job Summary: A senior-level machinist is an expert in their field, capable of handling complex machining projects and leading teams. They have extensive experience and a deep understanding of machining processes.

  • Responsibilities:

    • Set up, operate, and program complex CNC machines.

    • Develop and optimize machining processes.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex machining issues.

    • Design and fabricate tooling and fixtures.

    • Supervise and mentor other machinists.

    • Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

    • May assist in project planning and management.

  • Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; advanced training or certifications preferred.

    • 5+ years of experience as a machinist, with extensive experience in CNC machining.

    • Advanced knowledge of machining principles and techniques.

    • Expertise in CNC programming and CAM software.

    • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

    • In-depth knowledge of quality and safety standards
